UNANSWERED QUESTIONS.

It is great to be back again. Thank you one and all for all the e-mails that you were kind enough to send me expressing your concerns and support. It means a lot to know there are so many caring people out there.

Several people have written to me pointing out their concerns with certain information that has been floating around. There is nothing new about that, except for the past while much erroneous information has been permeating the air from a particular web site.

I don't get to excited about these things, because personally, I give little credence to the source site from which it originates. In my view, I have trouble accepting as fact, information from a site that has a track record for stealing information and comments. As you are probably aware, I am speaking specifically of the web site of Mr. Fortin. You will recall, it was his web site that I singled out as the one that stole many comments from this site, stating that he had received them by e-mail, when in fact he fell victim to a set up sting operation. I can prove this. He was also the one who set up a link to my web page without permission.

Mr. Fortin, you owe several commenters answers to questions that concern them. Over the course of the next few days I shall address these one by one. My only reason for involvement, is the fact that your commenters whom you are avoiding e-mail me for answers to questions that they asked of you. By now they are coming to the conclusion that you know very little about this case.

Let us start out with a lady named Susan. Susan asked you to tell her what happened to the Lindsey truck and if it went back to Pennsylvania. You avoided her question, and when I pressed you on it, you posted a directive from Captain Matte which indicated that Mrs. Mary Lindsey authorized the turning over of the truck to a gentleman from Pennsylvania. The copy of that directive is nothing new, it has been around for a long time. You left it there, hoping that would be the end of it, and in fairness to yourself, you may have believed that was the right answer. You see Clement, that document has no significance whatsoever, however, if you care to read on, I will tell you what really happened, and yes Clement, it is documented, because nothing gets posted to my site without documentation and/or an interview.

Clement, in the vicinity of Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, Eugene Lindsey and Clarence Claar, who was the Dad of Fred Claar, had a circle of friends with whom they hunted. Over the years, several of these friends accompanied Eugene Lindsey and Clarence Claar to Gaspe' to go bear hunting. One of these friends was Willard Campbell. Up to the night before Eugene Lindseys party was to travel to Gaspe', Willard Campbell had planned to travel with them, but had a last minute change of mind this time.

Willard knew the route to Gaspe' and he knew the area there. It was he Clement, who actually went to Gaspe' to drive the Lindsey truck home. He commenced his journey to Pennsylvania, but alas, all was not well. Willard experienced truck engine problems on the way. Lo and behold, it seems that pesky fuel pump was acting up. You remember what a fuel pump is Clement, that was one of those little vacuum thingies that you displayed for all the world to see. To make matters worse Clement, you reported on your site there was nothing wrong with the old fuel pump.

You will recall Clement that you reported it was Wilbert Coffin who convinced the hunting party with the broken down truck that the problem was with the fuel pump. How could you truthfully report that Clement? How would you possibly know that, as all three occupants of the vehicle turned up dead. There was no one left to talk. Wilbert Coffin never reported that he advised them that the fuel pump was defective. No one at the garage in Gaspe' stated that Wilbert Coffin had advised that the fuel pump was bad.

Wilbert Coffin's explanation was that it was Fred Claar who stated that the fuel pump was unserviceable, and further, that Eugene Lindsey contracted him to drive his son to Gaspe' to procure a replacement. That statement is corroborated by what Willard Campbell states about the fuel pump. He stated that the fuel pump was giving problems before they even left for Gaspe' according to Mr. Campbell. He also indicated that Eugene Lindsey was arrogant and cheap and when advised of the fuel pump he decided to carry on anyway without addressing the problem.

As I indicated in my last posting, anyone who knows very much about this case would be aware of the disposition of the Lindsey truck. Clement, before I leave this part I should also tell you that the truck carried cargo on its way back to Pennsylvania. Are you aware of what the cargo was Clement? In case you don't know the answer, the truck carried the skeletal remains of Eugene Lindsey, Richard Lindsey, and Frederick Claar.

Something else that I noticed of interest. On your site, it suggests that I may have been trying to clear the name of Bill Baker. Question for you Clement. Does that statement suggest that Bill Baker may have been guilty of something? I am certain there are members of the Baker family who would debate the issue with you if that is the suggestion. It is on your site in the form of one of those unsigned comments that your site is famous for.

Another area where you have avoided the answer to a question is in reference to the involvement of the federal government in the Wilbert Copffin affair. The reader was asking you why your coverage was so shallow. You have never replied. Don't worry about it right now, I shall remind you later.

Have mentioned this before Clement, but it is so serious that it actually becomes amusing. You remember that fellow named Captain Sirois. He was one of Duplessis' most trusted servants. He is the guy who went up into the gaspe' woods to study the crime scene and gather evidence. He found a dead bear in very close proximity to the scene. What does he do? He takes out his service revolver and in true rambo style, fills the dead bear full of lead. Very quickly he destroyed what could have been a very valuable piece of evidence. He is one of the police officers that you state that I pick on. The reason that I mention him again here Clement is because you preach this Brossard Inquiry to the outer limits. This gentleman, along with John Vanhoutte, headed it up for the police in the judiciary for Quebec. One of the mandates of the inquiry was to convince society of the unblemished manner in which the police presented themselves during the whole affair.

Again everyone, it is great to be back. I am feeling much better. I will leave you here, but only for a short time. That kis most interesting what you are saying about the fuel pump and who made the decision about it. You are quite correct, who wouild be left to make a statement on it, so why should they have nailed Wilbert Coffin?

Every time that I view your blog Lew I am amazed as to what you have come on this case. You and Lani Mitchell deserve a lot of praise in your research and investigation. You are so much more thorough than Fortin.
